In this simple model (realized as a quarter model), two load
cases are defined as illustrated in the figure. The loads of the second <span class = "ph">load case</span> are twice as large
as the loads of the first <span class = "ph">load case</span>.

lower side of the notch. Nevertheless, the maximum damage due to
