<p>Once the optimization task is completely defined, a check run should
be made. <span class = "ph">Tosca Structure</span>
then performs a complete syntax check of the optimization task to ensure
a valid definition. Eventually some test runs for shape (see <a class = "xref" href = "tso-c-usr-shape-testShape.htm#tso-c-usr-shape-testShape" title = "After the definition of the optimization task, all definitions should be checked for completeness and correctness. This can be done using a TEST_SHAPE run, which performs a &#34;virtual optimization&#34; with fictitious displacements.">Check run (TEST_SHAPE)</a>) and bead optimization
(see <a class = "xref" href = "tso-c-usr-beadOpt-beadTestBead.htm#tso-c-usr-beadOpt-beadTestBead" title = "Testing the optimization setup without using simulation results is described.">Testing the Optimization Setup (TEST_BEAD)</a>) are made which will
apply hypothetical optimization displacements to the model to enable the
user to check restrictions etc. visually (for example, using <span class = "ph">Tosca Structure.view</span>).
The entries for check run can be made in <span class = "ph">Tosca Structure.pre</span>
which are executed at <span class = "ph">Start <span class = "ph">Tosca Structure</span>
</span> by selecting <span class = "ph">test1</span>
as <code class = "ph codeph">Type</code>. Both is shown in the following figure:</p>
